Ma’arif For Education students make up 15 per cent of KSA participation in international competition ISEF 2020

We are proud of the three students of Ma’arif For Education who are participating in this year’s Regeneron International Exhibition of Science and Engineering (ISEF 2020), from 18-22May2020. Consistently our students prove that they can shape the future, our students make up 15 percent of all KSA students involved in the competition, in which the Kingdom was represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (MAWHEBA) as well as the Ministry of Education.

Youssef Ahmed Al-Rabiah, a student of Manarat Al-Riyadh schools, participated in the "Application of Simulation of Molecular Motion to Promote Oil Extraction" project, while Ibrahim bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Dulaijan from Manarat Al-Khobar schools took part in the "Developing Ammonia Fuel Efficiency by Adding Ozone" project. In addition, Noura Fahd Al-Omari, a student of Al-Faisaliah Islamic school in Al-Khobar, contributed to the project focused on promoting the growth of the common wheat plant Triticum aestivum by absorbing and transporting n-hematite a-Fe2O3 nanoparticles.

All three students are top performers at Ma’arif For Education, and were chosen from some 76,000 students who presented their projects and research as part of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Creativity 2020). Each progressed through a number of nomination stages, with 151 projects qualifying for the final.

Regeneron International Science and Engineering is the largest scientific exhibition in the field of pre-university scientific research, and this year attracted over 1,250 participants from 55 different countries presenting 1,030 scientific projects.
