Parents have an important role in the comprehensive educational development of their children. They are expected to support at home what their children learn at school.

We at Manarat Jeddah International School believe in the active participation of parents with our school staff to work together to support and improve  students’ learning, academic growth and character-building..

Research shows that the participation of parents in schools is directly apportionate to students’ behavior towards the best and helps them achieve academic excellence, in addition to fostering  social skills.

We also provide as many opportunities as possible for parents to attend school to volunteer support in various societal and cultural events as parents play a vital role in the success of these events when they bring along their different social and professional experiences.

Parents’ Council

We at Manarat Jeddah International Schools affirm that all parents are important members of at the Maarif community of schools.
To fulfill the tasks and assign responsibilities, a basic group of parent volunteers and members of the school administration team devote their time and effort to organize events and lead initiatives for the benefit of all students, parents, and staff at school. They meet regularly throughout the year, to help foster a sense of community and encourage parental involvement. The parents’ council is formed within each educational stage, as follows:

Council terms of references

At Manarat Jeddah International Schools, we offer an atmosphere of honesty, respect, and responsibility. We also open the doors for parents to be always aware of the role of the school community to ensure they are our partners of success. Therefore, some terms of references have been established for the Parents’ Council:

  • Participate in developing an integrated plan to achieve the school goals

  • Help the school to overcome challenges related to academic matters and offer them opportunities to share their feedback.

  • Follow up with each classroom teacher on the academic and social progress of students

Parents’ Voice

The Parents’ Council at Manarat Jeddah International Schools provides advice to all stakeholders and communicate with them on a regular basis to discuss the schools’ academic achievements, as well as some challenges and opportunities to overcome them. Surveys and regular questionnaires capture the voice of parents  which is given equal importance to other members of the community in determining the schools’ priorities.

Parents’ Complaints and Suggestions Policy

We believe that parents are the most important partners in a child’s education and we know that schools reap significant gains and benefit a lot from parents’ support. Such relationships certainly require a lot of positive work from both teachers and parents.
Parents are invited to attend a series of Parent-Teacher Meetings throughout the year to orient them about the affaires of the school and to ensure they are updated regarding their children’s progress.
MRIS community members gladly offer their help at all times and answer parents’ queries, via all communication channels such as website, social media and emails.
